Using PowerPoint Motion Path Animation

Learn how to use PowerPoint Motion Path Animation — Add Motion Path Animation to objects and also how to Edit and Delete Motion Path Animation.

You can easily apply motion path animation to slide objects to enhance your slides and draw attention to specific points.  Below are the step by step instructions for working with PowerPoint Motion Path Animation to Add animation to an object, Edit motion paths and remove animation.

Using PowerPoint Motion Path Animation – Adding a Motion Path to an Object

  2. Click the Animations tab.
  3. Click the expansion arrow in the Animation group.PowerPoint Motion Path Animation Image 5
  4. The Animations drop down will open. Click one of the paths listed under Motion PathsNote:  Custom Path is used to create your own custom path.

OR

Click More Motion Paths to select an advanced Motion Path.

The Add Motion Path dialog box will open.

Using PowerPoint Motion Path Animation – Editing a Motion Path

You can change the direction of the motion path or edit the path.

  2. Click the Animations tab.
  3. Click the Effect Options in the Animation group.PowerPoint Motion Path Animation Image 9
  4. Choose the new direction. Note:  Choose Locked to lock the Motion Path so others cannot change it.PowerPoint Motion Path Animation Image 11

Using PowerPoint Motion Path Animation – Deleting a Motion Path to an Object
