Creating Subpages

Subpages can be used to further organize your notes within notebooks.  For example, if you have weekly meeting notes, you can create a meeting notes main page and you can demote all the weekly meeting notes pages so they become subpages of it.

  1. If needed, create the main page.
  2. Click on the page to become a subpage. (Use SHIFT+Click to select multiple pages.)
  3. Hold down the left-button and drag the pages to the right until the title is indented.)OneNote Pages and Subpages

Note:  You can create two levels of subpages.  Drag a subpage further right to intent another level.  Drag it to the left to bring it back a level or make it a main page.OneNote Pages and Subpages

Expanding and Collapsing Subpages

You can collapse main pages to hide the levels of subpages beneath them.  Click on the chevron to the right of the main page name in the pages sidebar.OneNote Pages and Subpages
